If someone is trying to make you feel sorry for them, especially with the intentions of getting something from you, they are “playing with your heart strings”.

My buddy must be broke again; he called me “playing on my heart strings”. That’s his favorite way to get money without even asking.

Noun: Cunts-on-a-string: A long evenly spaced line of slow motorcyclists, bimbling along a winding road on the racing line at a fraction of the speed that would justify being on the racing line, completely oblivious to the presence of faster riders wishing to make progress. Cunts-on-a-string typically get very upset when faster riders overtake them and will often stop to remonstrate with them if the opportunity arises (for example, an impromptu stop made the the faster riders), but then think better of it.
