Someone that thinks a team wants to be like another team because the other team has the better record. Nobody likes to lose, but would you rather lose as you or win as somebody else? It doesn't take any honor to win.
If you're not fighting as you, what's the point of being undefeated? People wouldn't allow their team to lose without a fight, but before they wouldn't let them lose, they wouldn't let them become a poser team. They would rather their team be losers or underachievers who were themselves than to be overachievers who were somebody else, even if it seemed stupid to everybody else.

Get the Posermug. Someone who starts posing as an oddball or a weirdo once the stigma is gone and there's no social consequence. The kind of people who wouldn't smoke pot or do any drugs that would make them look like junkies until there was no stigma and everybody did it.
The oddball poser found a sense of comradery with a group of other oddball posers once there were no more odd people left, and phasing them out was complete.

Get the Oddball posermug. Somebody that lies about every aspect of their life, what they believe in, what they feel, and who they are. Somebody that has an endless amount of false names, not false screen names or something mostly benign, something a bit more malicious, but has many false names in real life and claims each one of them is his/her real name.
The girl was the kind of poser that didn't want anyone to accurately identify her, so she had numerous false names and looked like a different person on the outside almost every time you saw her.

The poser couldn't go skydiving or do anything else without a camera, because having nothing to show for it wouldn't make her look tough or colorful anymore, she would be uninteresting, as everybody is throughout most of their lives. People are interesting for a little while after they are born, then they are interesting again late in their life, but most of their life there's nothing interesting about anyone in particular.

people keep saying that bands like SOAD, deftones and other "nu metal" bands are poser bands just because they don't sound like black sabbath, metallica, iron maiden, slayer, megadeth, etc. there are many different sub-genres in metal, and it shouldn't restrict to JUST thrash, death, or other "heavier" sub-genres. SOAD and deftones aren't even really nu metal, they just do what they like to do. they're not poser bands. like what you like, and listen to whatever you want to listen to.
