A person you somewhat know, that works at McDonalds.

Dude 1: Hey do you know Mike?
Dude 2: Oh yeah, dude works at McDonald’s right?
Dude 1: Yeah that’s Mike.
Dude 2: Yeah I know Mike a little, I guess I can call him a Mcquaintance.

aquaintance zone

When a situation goes from, romances, bromances, friendzones to the nope zone. It's time to label it and call the time of death as Aquaintance Zone. It was already feeling weird, awkward, twighlight zone-ish. Now things aren't what either of you wanted and you may be in the grey area, so this helps you decide to phase it out in a friendly way. You taper off, slowly. It's better than ghosting. Ghosting is harsh and it is for that last resort for cutting ties completely.

Person: I thought we were friends and this was going somewhere?
You: Well, honestly we were in the friendzone, but now we're definitely in the Aquaintance Zone. Have a good one.

Accquantance

Someone you have no intimate or meaningful relationship with; but can possibility be familiar with common interests and backgrounds. But in most cases, they are just strangers that you've just met and unfamiliar with.

Strangers or just people whom you might share a common activity or background, whom you'd enjoy their presence to hang out and etc doesn't fit to being a friend, if they don't got your back. They are people of less intimate relations that we call accquantance (s), that won't have a meaningful out come at the end of the day.

A Facebook friend that you do not know, and only added them because of mutual friends. Usually done to beef up one's profile.

A person that is neither a friend or an acquaintance. They are not in between the two because they are more acquaintance than friend. Friendliness is rarely exercised by or to this person.
