Darken the doorstep

To Darken the Doorstep is when you go to someone's home and you cast a shadow over their doorstep. It usually used to describe the action of someone you know and haven't seen for a while unexpectedly turns up at your home or it's something you tell an unwanted visitor not to do ever again.

Sue: "OMG, you never guess who had the nerve to darken the doorstep this morning."
Pat: "Who?"

Sue: "Jo!"
Pat: "Jo, Jo who?"
Sue: " you know the one that coursed all that trouble at my party."
Pat: " Oooh! That Jo, haven't seen her around here for ages, did you invite her in?"
Sue: " No I did not! Told her to clear off and to never darken my doorstep again."

Mr Hankey is Knocking on the Door

Means to have to defecate or have a bowel movement or to have to take a dump. Mainly used for an emergency situation, where the movement in imminent, but can be used for any announcement of your condition.

Remember that jalepeno burrito I had earlier, with the ice cream sundae and Heinekins for dessert? Well, Mr Hankey is knocking on the door about now!!

I've been sick all day, and I think Mr Hankey is knocking on the door again.

Trooper in the door

82nd Airborne paratrooper humor in reference to that moment when one has a turd which is insisting on poking it's head out the door. Of course this usually only happens when one has a very had piece of shit as loose stools apparently exit the door before the green light comes on and/or exit the door is a mass tactical exit anyway.
