Self-Appointed Saint Syndrome

(Abbreviated SASS) A state of mind in which the sufferer (the Self-Appointed Saint) patronizes others, under the belief that they helped those people attain some sort of salvation. Although it's similar to God Complex, SASS is different in that sufferers use an unnecessary amount of compliments and gifts to patronize their victims. This makes the victim feel as they are below the Self-Appointed Saint, and thus makes the Self-Appointed Saint feel like they are of an elevated status compared to others.

Person 1: Even though I said no, John gave me his old Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Now, he keeps inviting himself over for dinner every week and makes me hang out with him everyday after work.

Saint Joseph's University

A well-respected school located in West Philadelphia, SJU straddles City Avenue. Saint Joseph's is known for its Haub School of Business and its basketball team, the Hawks. SJU students can be described as snobby but most aren't nearly as bad as those found at Villanova. SJU is small but well known throughout the country and most graduates find good jobs after receiving their diplomas.

The Big 5 consists of Saint Joseph's University, Villanova University, La Salle University, University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University.

Saini

Saini is a sub-caste within the Indian Caste system. It is derived from "Sini" from the Hindu Story/Epic "Mahabharata". It exists within the heirachy of Kshatriya -> Rajputs -> Saini -> Family Name (Surname); The surname can be Saini as well.

Sainis are a farming community/caste spread across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh in Northern India. Other than states, members of this group are also found in Maharashtra, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Like members of other farming castes, Sainis generally used to avoid priestly duties, shopkeeping, or anything else except farming. However, with rapid modernization and urbanization, this is no longer the norm.

With the rise of Sikhism in the fifteenth century, many Sainis converted to the faith so that there is a substantial Sikh Saini population today especially in Punjab and its neighbouring states.

His last name is Budwal, so he's from the Saini caste.

Saint Joseph's University

Also called, SJU, Saint Joseph's is a good school in Philadelphia with great school spirit and very solid academics, especially in business. With a lot to do on City Avenue and Philadelphia, St. Joe's is in an ideal location as it is also close to the rich suburbs of Lower Merion and the Main Line. The basketball team is adored and the school is growing at a high rate.

I go to Saint Joseph's University on Hawk Hill in Philadelphia. Next up, Harvard Law.
