Double Sarcasm

A sarcastic response to sarcasm, double sarcasm is highly deceptive. Through double sarcasm, it appears that you did not realize that the person was being sarcastic, whereas we both know that you were fully aware of it. In fact, you have to be aware of it in order to count as double sarcasm. Unlike sarcasm, which often utilizes a sarcastic tone, double sarcasm is highly deceptive and utilizes no such tone. The objective is to pretend to miss the original sarcasm and respond seriously. In essence, double sarcasm is the truth disguised by the veil of false ignorance.

Billy: I can't wait to pull hella tail now that I got this advice!! (original sarcasm)

You: No. His advice was terrible. (double sarcasm)

Billy: No. Your sarcasmdar is broken.

You: Double Sarcasm strikes again!

Sargam

Sargam is one of the nicest, most gorgeous, and crazy people you will ever know. When she walks into a room, it is like the whole world stops and she is just so amazing. Honestly, you cannot live without Sargam. Not only is she very athletic, but she is AMAZING at the arts. She says she isn’t good at things, but when you actually see her do them you have to take a moment to actually make sure it is real. Sargam is just a perfect, wonderful best friend and you would be so lucky to call her yours. Oh, and she is so crazy! She is the perfect person to goof around with and just have a good time. Sargam has so much energy, but every ounce of it is used for good. You really just can explain in words how amazing and perfect Sargam is at everything.

Person one; “Oh my goodness did you see Sargam the other day?”
Person two; “Yeah man, she was just good at everything.”
Person one; “I wish I was her best friend. She just lights up every room she walks into.”
