Anchorage

Largest city in the US state of Alaska, located in the Southcentral Region along the Knik Arm, Cook Inlet, and Turnagain Arm. The population is about 260,000 (Census 2000), which is nearly half of Alaska's state population. The current mayor of Anchorage is Mark Begich. The most popular spots include Century 16 theater, Chilkoot Charlie's, Moose's Tooth pub & pizzeria, Bear Tooth theater pub, Dimond Center, and 5th Avenue Mall. Lowest temperatures are usually in the single digits during the winter, and can reach as high as the seventies to eighties during the summer. The summer is considered Anchorage's tourist season, where the downtown area near the port tends to be the busiest. Great location for travel especially during summer, but winters can get cold, dark, and depressing for some residents.

It is said that Anchorage has two seasons: winter and construction.

Anchorage Steamer

A form of hypocrisy. The act of criticizing someone for a certain act and then proceeding to unwittingly do that same thing. This can also be referred to as a Palin-drome.

The woman who sees Russia from her house just dropped an anchorage steamer on America- she criticized the media for politicizing the Arizona shooting and then implied that the shooter was a liberal.

Anchorage

Biggest city in Alaska. Anchorage has roughly half the population in the state and is the starting place for the infamous Iditarod dog sled race. Winters are typically in the 30's and 20's with good snow. Summers are usually cloudy and in the high 50s, low 60s.

Unlike any other city in the United States because its sales tax-free and has the most beauty. A growing rap and rock scene in the United States for sure.

Watch out everyone, Anchorage is comin' on up. Anchortown represent!!
