When you die, and then you come back to life. Or in films a character is assumed dead when he/she is not dead. That character then shows themself alive.

Get the It came from Tumblrmug. Kel is a character from the rpg game OMORI, made by Omocat. In Headspace, Kel is sort of bratty, rude, competitive and impulsive. He's very loud and energetic, having a skill named "Annoy" during a battle which causes someone to be angry. But he's still a very good friend and tries his best to cheer up everyone, choosing happiness over sadness.
In the real world, Kel is more mature and understanding. He likes to talk to strangers and tries to help others, giving people compliments and stuff.
But Kel doesn't want others to see him sad, thinking that would make situations worse. So he tries to make everyone happy, even though he has to bottle up his emotions for that.
That's also why in the fandom he's seen as the "funny meme guy".
There's a theory about Kel's full name being "Kelsey" because during a live on twitch, the creator of the game revealed that Kel's beta name was "Kelsey".
Conclusion, Kel is a misunderstood character.
