chicken switch

noun. A device by which a high-voltage switches and breakers can be flipped using a corded remote from a marked distance away instead of directly manipulating the switch. Clothing can also be used by the switch operator, but "higher powers" (like your boss) insist on keeping people out of the line of fire. Also known as a remote actuation device.

The sister switch also know as the roomate switch because it applies to roomates and sisters. You find out your girlfriend’s sister/roomate is the more desireable one and you want to switch. How you do it is you suggest a threesome with the sister/roomate to your girlfriend and she is so appauled by the idea she kicks you out.
