Someone who claims to be a die hard fan but criticizes the team more than anyone when they struggle.
Probably has not ever been to a game.
Sings their pump up songs so everyone knows they know them.
Probably switches teams after a few years when their team loses public support. Probably because it’s harder for them to get clout

Max: Did you see Kinger last night?
Kyle: yeah, he was being a fake fan about Lebron
Max: yeah he’s never even been to a game

Sports fan

Someone who watches sportsball. Typically they have an obsession with a team but alternatively they can have an obsession with a player or even players. Players of whom sports fans will dedicate their whole lives to knowing every detail of what they had for breakfast and the last person they had sex with. Examples of sports fans include MJ Stans, Bronsexuals, Bradytards, and #1 fans of 2020’s 20th Overall Pick Bench McRiderson. Typically sports fans know nothing and commit acts such as “meat riding” and “casual racism.”

My sons a real sports fan! I hope he grows up to be a knowledgeable reporter like Stephen A Smith or Colin Cowherd!

Fake fan

A fake fan is a person who heard about an artist or band 10 minutes ago, is already “in love with them”, starts posting stuff only about them. Forgets about that artist in like two days. Uses the artist to be “edgy” or different. They get really defensive or aggressive when you expose them. Usually only listen two the most popular songs and don’t listen to the whole album including old music just was popular.

Hey! Mardena is buying me and her tickets to Lil Mosey!
