Novel Texting

When the person you are texting does not want to have an actual phone conversation so you have to write a lot rather then just being able to say it.

Lucy was crying all night because Brad broke up with her. I tried to call her but she wouldn't answer so I was novel texting her for about an hour.

Bobby was novel texting Cindy the other night because she couldn't talk on the phone. He was trying to convince her to sneak out to go to a party.

Text-Ditcher

A person that decides your conversation isn't important enough even for a simple "gtg" or "bye". They simply just stop texting as if they didn't get your last text.

John: "Dude, wtf? where'd you go last night?"

Jack: "Oh sorry man, I was bored with our convo so i stopped texting."

John: "You're a total text-ditcher!"

A contortion of the face resulting in the creation of several additional chins. It is caused by drawing the chin toward the chest while attempting to text under one's desk at school or work inconspicuously, though often fails horribly.

Look at Pierce over there. He's sporting a total texting chin. As if the teacher doesn't notice anyway...

When someone texts while not looking (ex. in a hoodie, in jeans pocket) so they don't get caught. Mostly done in school.

She was blind texting in her purse so she wouldn't get it taken away from her teacher.

Ambi-texting

ambi-texting is the art of texting after you have taken an Ambien. You never fully realize what you've tried to text until the next morning when you check your history and can't make out the meaning.

Meaning: I love you. Gnight.

Honey, did you take a pill before bed last night? Yes, why? Because you were ambi-texting me before you went to sleep.

Text Lag

The phenomenon when you go to send a text, or google something, on your phone and realize that you were already in the middle of some other task that you must finish before texting which leads to another task and then you forget the original task or text. Then you finally send the text a while later.

"Wait, I didn't text you? Oh, sorry, I sometimes get into a Text Lag loop and never catch up."
