Someone from a town outside of a city that claims the city as her own to gain support/benefit from doing so, and to be inflammatory towards any people originally from the city that oppose her instead of compromise with her.

The bubbly girl was a poser that lied about every aspect of who she was and her life to make herself (her image) look put upon, like an underdog instead of a bully (since some people might unwittingly support or defend her that way, not realizing there was a reason she was an outcast).

You can tell a poser imitating a kind hearted person from a kind hearted person, since a poser wont pose as kindhearted without also adding something about themselves being badass to their claim of being kindhearted.

The poser would pose as kindhearted when he/she wanted acceptance from the kindhearted folks, and as an asshole when he/she wanted acceptance from assholes.

Someone who is not who they say they are.

Even if he/she filed his/her teeth down into serrated edges and wore black contacts, he/she still wouldn't have anybody convinced that he/she was really a shark. He/she was a poser, posing as a man eating denizen of the seas.

Poser

Someone who acts like they're from Baltimore even though they're from outside Harrisburg. Someone who has not only a thousand different screen names or online profiles, but also has fictional hometowns or current locations, fictional lives to go with them. A poser tries to outdo other people at silliness while trying to get taken more seriously than everyone else.

The poser was always this and that, always under somebody else's skin to make himself/herself look/feel more authentic. The poser wanted an authentic image.
