Snipes were commonly referred to as throw aways or butts of cigarettes, they have now become a term for any cigar, cigarette or smoke related product such as blunts or joint.
The term snipe refers to the danger of the product, like a sniper it will kill you. The guys I hear talking, often refer to snipes when saying they are going to a smoke break. Regardless, they still use the term, "Snipes" when referring to marijuana joints or "blunts" and any cigar like, black and mild like cigarette.

Predicting an uncommon near future event correctly without any prior knowledge to the situation. Typically a guess for something that could happen. Very popular in Eastern Massachusetts.
"I bet the next car we see pull around that corner will be a red Honda."

To call someone's name unsuspectingly so that they are forced to turn around while you act inconspicuous and they have no idea who it was.

To steal an object from someone and they don't notice, just like when snipers do when they shoot people, they kill them without them noticing obviously lol.
