Ear-flap phenomenon

To leave the ear flaps up on an ushanka when it is freezing cold outside.
Men: Whatever you do, don't let your flaps down.

After a night when temperatures dipped to minus 25 Celsius, at least nine out of every ten male Muscovites wore their fur hats Tuesday with the flaps folded up, leaving their ears exposed in various shades of red and blue.

"Are you cold? I'm not, and I've been standing here all day!" said Vasily Chura, a cheerful traffic police officer posted on Arbat Square. As thermometers in downtown Moscow edged to just above minus 20, the flaps on his shapka were neatly tied on top.

"We're Russian people," he added. "We're used to it."

Alexei Kalimov, a 70-year-old pensioner who wisely wore his flaps down, had a more sober explanation for the ear-flap phenomenon. "They are trying to show off their toughness, endurance and manliness," he said as he tapped his feet to keep them warm. "Often they will put on a hat but keep their chests bare, especially in Siberia."

Wilson's Phenomenon

The Wilson Phenomenon is where any act conducted by Wilson is therefore considered morally, ethically and legally acceptable. It acts as a precedent.

Based off Samuel Wilson, American-born British neurologist in the early 20th century who discovered the copper overload disease, aptly named Wilson's Disease. Samuel Wilson was also credited with the use of the term extrapyramidal in reference to the study of human neuroanatomy. Samuel Wilson's great-grandson is also a doctor - eminent Australian Christopher Wilson. Both Wilson's are credited to be incredibly knowledged in ethics,, morality and law.
Friend 1: Do you think that's allowed?

Friend 2: Yes it falls under Wilson's Phenomenon, Mr. Wilson was known to have conducted it, therefore it's allowed.

Phenom

A four CPU processor released by AMD Inc. in the year 2007, in the Agena core variant, and in the year 2009, with the Deneb core variant.

The Agena variant of the Phenom processor had a defect (errata) which made all of these chips somewhat slower than AMD's high range dual core chips and substantially slower than its competition's quad core chips. This hurt AMD's reputation and caused it to lose prestige and footing in the market.

The Deneb variant has no errata issues and is fairly competitive with other quad core processors by competing manufacturers.
The benchmarks published on most computer enthusiast websites confirm that the Phenom 9500 is actually slower in most applications than the Athlon X2 6000.
