chagrin falls

a small midwestern ohio town known for its appeal as a tourist trap, though the residents themselves don't shop for much in the 'downtown' since most of the useful stores went out of business years ago. The town and especially the high school have very low diversity, minorities making up 1-2% of the population.

The high school itself is notorious for many things, including bad security, an emphasis on 'tradition,' faulty heating and cooling systems, and a lot of student partying, drinking, drug use, etc. Most known are the pumpkin roll and blossom time, both excuses to get completely smashed. However, chagrin manages to be a top 100 school almost every year, and most of the students take AP or honors classes, so in the end it balances out.

tourist: i went shopping in chagrin falls and it's so quaint! Look at this fur coat i got!

student: well i can't finish my AP lit paper, the pumpkin roll's tonight at midnight, i won't be home til four.

admin: we must stop gangs in chagrin! (even though we don't have enough minorities to scrape together anything resembling a gang)
