(Z) is a way of conveying one's feelings towards another, usually if they are being odd or making others feel uncomfortable. (Z) is usually only used on the internet, much like :)
(Z) means: *slowly shuffles away*
(Z) is not an emoticon - things like (Y) may be converted to a 'thumbs up' image, whereas (Z) is left alone.

Person 1: You know how you owe me that favour?
Person 2: Yeah...
Person 1: Well, i'll need some help down at the sewage works tomorrow...
