The guy who sets up his stall in the toilet of a bar/club - he is usually built like a brick shithouse - and then demands money with menaces for even having breathed his air. In most cases he dispenses soap and paper towels by invading your space and foisting it upon you, then glowers at you as you say thanks and don't pay. Using their range of aftershaves is ill-advised and costly, and why anyone would buy a lolly from a guy they met in the toilet is beyond comprehension. Attempts to avoid the bog troll often result in loud verbal abuse about your personal hygiene.

Bog trolls might be excused their actions on the grounds that sitting in the toilet for five hours a night can't bring a lot of job satisfaction, except that it's not a proper job and no one wants them there in the first place.

Bog troll: Soap, paper towel?
Me: No thank you, I can manage to do this by myself.
Bog troll: (indicates tray with assorted change from previous mugs) Fair enough (looks at you like he might have already killed your family)

Drunken reveller A: Taxi home?
Drunken reveller B: Nah man, let's walk. I broke the seal too early and spent a tenner on bog trolls already.

Troll bait

Contrary to popular definitions of 'troll bait,' one who is troll bait is not a victim or bullied. Those who are troll bait know exactly what they are doing and are in fact trolls themselves.

The term 'troll bait' describes a type of trolling commonly found on the internet. 'Troll bait' is used to describe an internet user who knowingly invites the hatred of a highly reactionary group of trolls. A common characteristic of all troll bait is that they do things that are known to invite swarms of trolls (e.g. Creating pointless and incendiary videos, calling out entire troll communities). They do this because they find the constant anger and hate from trolls amusing, especially since this form of trolling is a form of troll hunting (or counter-trolling). Any type of troll bait usually causes trolls to fall into their own trap (getting annoyed and becoming upset).

Another characteristic of troll bait is that they are widely popular, mostly due to the hate they receive. This is explained by the Streisand effect, where attempting to censor a form of media only draws more attention to it, making it even more popular. In some YouTube communities, troll bait videos, while rated poorly (as most troll bait videos are), may receive hundreds of thousands of views. As a result, the instant popularity that is possible from being troll bait makes this form of trolling even more attractive.

YouTube video: "I'm calling out (insert reactionary troll community here) for saying mean things about me. Stop it! I'm going to take you all down!"

The above, while appearing to admit defeat to trolls, actually causes more trolls to swarm, thus fulfilling the troll bait's purpose.

concern troll

In an argument (usually a political debate), a concern troll is someone who is on one side of the discussion, but pretends to be a supporter of the other side with "concerns". The idea behind this is that your opponents will take your arguments more seriously if they think you're an ally. Concern trolls who use fake identities are sometimes known as sockpuppets.

In the 2006 election, an aide to Congressman Charlie Bass (R-NH) was caught concern trolling the opposition on local blogs. While pretending to support Bass's opponent, Paul Hodes, the aide argued that Hodes couldn't win because Bass was an unbeatable candidate. Hodes won the election.
