snooze off

A trend pioneered by Preston uni students (Dean Boyle and Luke Thomas) in the early 21st century that describes a time dedicated for catching up with sleep during the day. Snooze offs will often involve a small group of like-minded people confined to a dedicated snooze off room which is baking hot with drawn curtains.

Picture a warm smelly room with the curtains drawn...

Boyle: "Snooze off?"
Thomas: "Snooze off?"

The TV is turned to mute and and the remote control is hidden down the side of the sofa. Boyle and Thomas curl up on the sofas and begin their snooze off.

2.) Using the snooze function on an alarm clock, as a means of getting sleep in 7 minute bursts.

When somebody wakes up in the morning before their alarm goes off and sits and waits until it goes off so they can press snooze

My sister touches snooze the second the alarm goes off and therefore is a Snooze Watch (er).

That period of time in the morning when you're neither asleep nor awake, between when you've pressed snooze on your alarm clock and when you actually get out of bed.

When you are so exhausted that the second your head hits the pillow, in the back of your mind you believe there is a chance you may never wake up. That is when you know you are in the midst of a snooze-o-rama.

After Coach Cal's 4am practice I laid in bed began the snooze-o-rama.
