Shipping Wars

Verbal arguments between people who have different opinions about romantic relationships between characters of a show, book, etc.

A noticeable one would be the war between a

Robin/Raven shipper and a Robin/Starfire Shipper.
Don't say anything negative about "Stranded" online. You'll start a shipping war.

Safe Shipping Zone

A safe shipping zone is a space (typically a blog or website) where it is safe to "ship" any fictional pairings. The term is intended for the HP fandom and their pairings but can extend to any and all fandoms. Safe shipping zone means that you will not be judged for whatever characters you decide to "ship" (or want to be together) regardless of who they are and their sex/age/gender. It promotes a non-bullying atmosphere and encourages others to be respectful of certain pairings.
This is a safe shipping zone, you can ship whatever fictional or real life pairings you want without any judgement!

roll of the ship

A naval term used as an excuse by somebody who stumbles into the back of another person, often when the penis of the stumbler is in a somewhat turgid state. The stumbler is blaming the way the ship is rolling about in what is probably a heavy sea.

The usual response to that involves a roll of lino. That is a comparison with a roll of linoleum floor covering, i.e. something hard, thick and long. That may be a warning to not do it again, or a thinly veiled invitation to do it again, only more deliberately. Nobody knows which is which until they respond in the wrong way.
Jim Lad: "What the fuck was that???"

Nobby: "Sorry, roll of the ship"

Jim Lad: "Felt more like a roll of lino"

Nobby: "Oh, interested?"

Jim Lad: "Go and fuck yourself"

shipfu

The combination of ship (mostly warship) and waifu (Japanese pronounciation of "wife" in English), the latter was mostly used to refer anime girls (2D girls). Use affectionately or jokingly by users to address their (mostly) virtual warships in online games or media.

As the ship is usually referred to as a female, plus the online card game Kantai Collection (KanColle for short) turned the warships into cute girls (moe anthropomorphism) donned with warship equipment to fight against the enemy, many players use shipfu to make a slight difference between a 2D shipgirl (known as KanMusu) and a 2D anime girl.

Also, the word shipfu could also refer to virtual ship without any anthropomorphism in some online naval battle game like World of Warships, though this action often leads to discrimination by some players who did not want their ships to be turned into girl or to be femininization in that way.
A: Why did someone call warships shipfu?
B: Because they love their ships, they want their ships to be cute girls, they want to marry their ships. You can do it in Kantai Collection.

I was born on a pirate ship with a bunch of apples

If you say this with your mouth stretched horizontally apart using your fingers and your tongue sticking out, it will sound like you are proclaiming that you were born on a pile of shit with a bunch of assholes.

While this existed long before Barenaked Ladies, they reference this action on the cover of their album, "Born On A Pirate Ship". The kid on the cover is saying it.

Ship Names

When you take a shipping of two people (or characters) and you put their names together, creating one name for the pair that is fluent and doesn't sound weird.
Eli and Caitlyn
Caitli or Eliyn would both be good ship names because they combine the two names without the ship name being to long or hard to pronounce.
