Face-Stalk

To Face-Stalk (the act of Face-Stalking) involves a person (the Face-Stalker) obsessing over another person or people on Facebook. The Face-Stalker will spend hours reading wall posts, viewing photos and sifting through numerous status updates to gain as much information as possible about the person whilst never leaving any evidence that they have viewed the page. The Face-Stalker works incognito and will never write a comment on the victim's page or photos, as not to raise suspicion.

Roster Stalk

Roster Stalking is useful when attempting to determine the name of a classmate with whom you have never spoken. It is performed by perusing the online roster of a class, and then typing those names into Facebook until you recognize the picture of the person you are trying to find. A useful tool, but can quickly devolve into creeping.

When you like someone as a friend, but really LIKE them so you start checking their Facebook, their Instagram, their Twitter, and liking everything. You start your own chapter of their fan club. You crush on them platonically, but more like on a superfriend level. Teeters on obsessive.

I was crush-stalking Hal's Facebook. "HeY! I was crush-stalking you on Facebook and saw you post your love for Lily Tomlin. Sounds like YOU are crush-stalking HER."

walk'n'stalk

1) hunting: the way you approach your object of desire

2) virtual communication: to walk through someone's social networking profiles and other virtual traces while chatting with that person (similar to talk'n'stalk)

3) making out: to pretend to read text messages while going for a walk with your date, though you are actually checking out his/her digital fingerprint

1) father to son: "When we go hunting tomorrow morning, I'll teach you how to walk'n'stalk!"

2) Tim to Jon: "Last night I talked to Mary on Skype, but she never answered right away, so I think she was walk'n'stalking me..."

3) Jen to Jess: "On Sunday, I went on this date with Blake and he told me that he was single, but then I pretended to have gotten a message from you, although I actually checked his facebook profile where I found out that he'd just made out with his girlfriend last night. This walk'n'stalk kept me from going any further with that liar!"
