When an item, person or thing seems contrived or campy in some deliberate way - for the purpose of leaving a calculated impression with the audience.

The band's song was alright, but his Star Wars shirt in the video had an element of cheese to it.

Yet another example of how the film industry lives off of consumer confusion and crazy marketing tactics.

The movie was rated PG for "mild thematic elements"... whatever that meant.

The greatest song on the internet for many of the world's nerd inhabitance. It names every element on the periodic table. This song was written by Tom Lehner, who has this song as his most famous of them all.

I listened to Element Song, The for 52 hours in a row, continuously.
