Dreamsexual/Yumesexual/Sognaresexual is when someone only feels sexual attraction in their dreams but rarely ever when they're awake. it falls under the
asexual spectrum. The aromantic counterpart is dreamromantic, yumeromantic, or sognareromantic.
However the term "Dreamsexual" was coined by fans in the MCYT
fandom and was turned into a sexuality for when a fan is attracted to the content creator Dream, or they feel a strong connection to him. This was and still is used as an excuse to be apart of the LGBTQIA+ community
The term "Dreamsexual" now gets alot of backlash to this day within the MCYT
fandom, the LGBTQIA+ community, and by
people who
hate MCYT due to the fact of it's association with the MCYT content creator Dream because MCYT fans coined the term.
Person 1: "Hey! I'm dreamsexual!!"
Person 2: "Oh ew, you like Dream? Get off the
internet"
Person 1: "No? I just only feel sexual attraction to
people when I'm dreaming. The term got coined by MCYT fans to make their love for their favorite content creator valid within the LGBTQIA+ community."
Person 2: "Oh dang. What the
heck."
