A term generally given to a domestic animal in certain internet memes, the most common being cats, second to dogs, then birds, then more exotic animals such as seals or snakes. A commonality all wunks have with each other is the ability to be seen as cute and humorous. This term was popularized on the subreddit r/wunkus.
