Interactive media theory where an infrastructure focusing on content creation, management, and dissemination is built for the user to generate that content in a community framework.

Urban Dictionary falls under the Web 2.0 theory because they built an infrastructure to create, manage, and disseminate the definition of slang terms generated by the user and ranked by the community.

A person who is compelled to actively participate in various Web 2.0 based web sites. Often times suffers from OCT, OCH, and may even be considered a Mouse Potato. Spends a disproportionate amount of time with Social Netorking sites than physically interacting with human beings.

You've got a MySpace page, del.icio.us links, share photos on Flickr, tagged the contents of your refrigerator and never knew Ajax was a cleaner. You're such a Web 2.Ho.

Web 2.0

A buzzword used by dullards to seem hip and "in" on "latest" technology, in hopes that no one will be perceptive enough to see that what's "Web 2.0" isn't new at all, but rather a catch-all term for websites that give people imagined self-importance by letting them comment on and share content with other equally moronic readers.

OMG this website is so Web 2.0! Check it out there's a button to post this to my facebook, myspace, and twitter! Now all my friends will see how hip I am and maybe someone will finally love me!

Web 2.5

The time period between mid-2007 and late 2009 when Web2.0 tatics, platforms and ideals were waning, but Web 3.0 had not yet matured or went mainstream.

Both Pandora and Muxtape were shut down in Aug. '08 by the government. A sad casualty of Web 2.5.
