When way up in the mountains with no sounds, the silence does indeed get to be screamingly loud & deafening!

I doubted what I heard about the silence is deafening until I experienced it firsthand. What an amazing phenomena!

The Silence of the Chavs

Loosely linked the the movie about psychopaths and serial killers released in 1991, 'The Silence of the Chavs' is when a group of chavs usually led by an 'Alpha Chav' give you the chilling silent treatment trying to shame you into their 'Chav' way of thinking missing the point that you are not like them so are mostly or completely immune to the shaming which might seem oddly funny afterwards.

Walked into a pub and encountered a group of chavs and they gave me 'The Silence of the Chavs' treatment.
