Post Related Anxiety Disorder or PRAD is a mental health condition that's triggered by a post / mail event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms
may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe
anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event.
Examples of PRAD include uncontrollable checking of the delivery status of items being delivered by courier and an inability to leave one's house on the day a package is supposed to arrive in
fear of missing the postman / Currier.
John: "You look terrible Paddy, what's wrong?"
Paddy: "I didn't get any sleep last
night, a package I was waiting for was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it never came, what if it never comes
John! I can't take the 'not knowing', I've already called the Currier and they said the item has been delivered! I've considered taking the day off
work, just in case they try deliver it there."
