The original procedure goes as follows:
1. *CLAP your palms together with your new friend like going into a normal handshake, only so as to meet the edges.*
2. *STRAP your thumb to his/hers in a GRAPple and lift upward firmly until at arm-wrestling level.*
3. *WRAP your fingers around the top-base of his/her hand, pulling your fingers over the back of his/her wrist and down against the base of his/her thumb to effectively TRAP their hand from escaping.*
4. *SNAP your fingers around their thumb with a flourish (can't be simultaneous, so whoever initiates should snap first).*
5. *ZAP fingerguns at each other with style akin to Fonzie from 'Happy Days', leaning back to make a GAP while still holding one another upright.*
6. *DAP across each other's fingers and FLAP at the fingertips.*
7. *RAP knuckles together on the way to TAP the backs of each other's forearms together.*
8. *Twist your shoulder inward to SLAP the outside of the other's same shoulder.*
