Most often expressed in the form of pessimistic sentiments such as "XXXX was a horrible year, I hope next year will be better". Ironically they say that for every year regardless, as they'll always find something horrible that happened.

The correct view is to fully embrace in the good aspects while still acknowledging the bad.
