Blinkied

To disengage socially and conversationally from one’s companions while travelling. Typically the traveller who has blinkied becomes quiet, withdrawn and introspective, often as a consequence of stress of travelling or business engagements, or the prolonged intensity of contact with his or her travelling companions.

Etymology
Exact origins are unclear, but rumoured to include an obliquely relate to the Australian children’s cartoon koala, Blinky Bill. First common usage encountered in or around 2013.

Traveller 1: Paul hasn’t said anything to either of us all day. He’s just staring into space.
Traveller 2: Yep, he has completely Blinkied.

Word applied to milk when it has just started to go bad. Used when milk is marginal--almost ok to drink. Used by my Texan mother and grandmothers for at least 100 years.

"Ugh. This milk is blinky. Tomorrow it'll be bad for sure."
