The term grunger came about from the Seattle led grunge scence and was applied to a person who was involved in said scence, the term is now applied to many teens who listen to a selection of bands which a prdomantly Metal/Rock/Punk who arn't into Heavy Metal/Rock/the co;our black enough to be goths but who dispise garage and their mortal enemies "Townies". Also to be a modern "Grunger" one needs to believe that Nirvana were the best band ever and that Kurt Cobain is god insted of the reality that they were a good band who are hevily overrated

grungers n moshas are pretty much the same thing i am a mix between the both. i hav long hair n like all kinds of rock music except shitty nu metal which is as bad as pop. there natural enemies are chavs (low life people who hav no qualifications who end up living of decent hard working people) grungers will not normaly start a fight but will always finish 1 if started on, they normally mwear jeans n t-shirts or hoodies n skate shoes they are normally happy with there lives until chavs get involved

somebody who likes such music with guitars, drums and the sort in, such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance, KoRn, Metallica to name a few. Normally seen in jeans (baggy?) and a band hoodie. They dont care what townies, (or chavs as they are more widely known these days) think.

the arch enemies of grungers are townies. townies are normally seen outside the closest Mac Donalds (notice the word outside) or alternative mass meeting place, sporting their tracksuits, schott hoodies and burberry caps,with vocabularys rangeing from "ya mum" to "ah,your gay!"

another name for a grunger is a mosher, from mosh pit.

How to tell if some-one's a grunger :
1. They wear baggy clothes, hoodies, chains, and t-shirts with band names on them (usually!)
2. They don't say innit or blud! (because they aren't retards)
3. Most grungers play an instrument, wether it may be a guitar, base or drums! it doesn't matter! (most grungers sing if they don't play an instrument)

Contradiction in itself. A continuous chain of conflicting statements and happenings. Allow me to elaborate:

"We do it to be unique"-Despite the relative fairness in the desire to achieve the aforementioned ideal, the figure stating that on average 25% of school pupils attending secondary schools are indeed "grungers" and furthermore that on average 96% of these individuals grow out of this state of being, indicates that this is merely a collective fad, and one that is hardly unique.

"Goths are peaceful-Chavs aren't"-Ah the old "west side story" bullcrap. Chavs vs Goths. Where is the peace in the lyrics "I smash my face into a mirror" "Lets all kill ourselves" and "My girlfriend dumped me so i slit my wrists". Furthermore confrontation of any sort lacks peace, and no one is whiter than white in almost all confrontation of the like.

"We don't care about how we look"- If such was the case, why go out of your way to look like a stereotypical "grunger". Can you be "grungers" and be allowed to wear a tracksuit? Or a Nike hat? Oh wait that would be "Chavvish" who are of course scum....we aren't hateful by the way..

To summarise-

Grunger+Chav=A load of bollocks Phase that adolescent teenagers appear to be conforming to in order to obtain friends within a certain crowd, thus saving them solidarity. The resolution? The whole fucking fad shit being ended....but I'm scum for suggesting such a thing...
