James Bond

There seems to be a description of what James Bond should/has to look like, without much room for imagination. Why hasn't there been a fat James Bond, a black James Bond, or a gay James Bond? They limit James Bond to one kind of guy in the movies. Even a female posing as James Bond, or as a leading role without the name James Bond. Give them the hall pass and take away the taboo. That way not every black guy grows up wanting to be the Bond villain.

The Bond villain was converted to good and suddenly he didn't want to kill anybody after that. Would it be a good thing or a bad thing for the next James Bond?

One of the best film franchises ever. Although there is debate on what the political bias is(hence why there is acclaim from a broad ideological coalition), the James Bond films have a pro libertarian meaning, as the villains are usually communists out to take over the world.

James Bond Effect 

The James Bond Effect (also called 007 Effect) is a theory in propaganda and political circles, whereby the first detailed opinion/summary that someone hears or reads on a particular topic, is the one they are most likely to adopt.

Called the James Bond Effect - in reference to the James Bond character - as there is highly anecdotal evidence that the first actor someone sees play the chacater of James Bond, is the one they prefer (i.e. someone who saw their first Bond film in the 1960's will tell you Sean Connery played the best Bond, however those that saw their first Bond film in the 1990's will tell you Pierce Brosnan is the best).

Mike: Hey, John I hear that Dave got fired? You guys had lunch all the time didn't you?
John: Yeah, he was let go last week. The wierd thing is our Manager keeps going on about why he got fired - showing me emails and letters. If you ask me, that's just wrong - that's confidential information.
Mike: Well, that's the James Bond Effect for you. Management know that you will probably catch up with Dave sometime soon.

When a man (generally a W.A.S.P.) has a sexual preference to one or more different race over that of his own.

In the James Bond films, James sleeps with women of all ethnicities. He doesn't often court British women, as shown by the way he treats Money Penny.

James Bond route 

Taking an alternate route that has the potential to get you to your destination quicker than taking the standard route. There is also the potential that you will enounter some obstacles along the way, like numerous stop signs, stop lights, and difficult left turns due to non-stop cross-traffic.

Its common to drive recklessly while taking the James Bond route, much like 007 is forced to do when being chased through narrow streets in Rome, Paris, Madrid, etc.

Hwy 41 was so backed up, we decided to take the James Bond route and beat all those suckers sitting in traffic by a good 20 minutes.

He thought he was slick by taking the James Bond route, but ended up hitting fifteen stop signs in the subdivision and he got a ticket for doing 20 over in a 25. What an idiot.
