Short for "immigrant bus."
It refers to the cheaper buses usually frequented by immigrants throughout
American cities. The term is mostly used by
people in the Northeast, but especially in New Jersey. Immy buses, unlike other larger buses like the NJ Transit, are smaller, more common, and non-airconditioned. Immy bus drivers rarely, if ever, speak English.
Immy buses do not stop at every stop. They will only stop if someone is waiting at a stop or if one passenger on the bus screams "Next Stop" or "Siguiente Parada."
