Even if everyone else has a good definition, theyre still missing an area specific one. In Western PA, Hoss's is a steakhouse thats all around the area. And with things like Hoss burger, The Hoss(the mascot) and hoss-sauce, its become a Pittsburgh thing that Hoss means dick, cock, penis, etc. Saying hey hoss doesnt have any positive meaning, because its saying hey dick.
