COVIDwashing

Covidwashing is the act individuals and organisations use to exploit the pandemic to mislead people. This is usually so that they can hide their selfishness, incompetence or laziness.

It is pretty much used as an excuse for doing whatever you want.
I called the bank today and was told I would need to wait 20 minutes due to the strains put on them by the current pandemic.

This is strange because they have always made me wait 20 minutes. This sounds like a case of the banks COVIDwashing their incompetence.

COVIDwashing

Covidwashing is the term used to describe people and organisations who exploit the covid pandemic to cover something up. This is usually incompetence or laziness but could be anything.
I called the bank today and got told they were not able to help me for 20 minutes due to the strains put on them by the current pandemic. This is strange as they used to make me wait 20 minutes before the outbreak. This sounds like a case of banks COVIDwashing their incompetence.
