An online dictionary that tries to trick you into clicking on an advertisement when all you really wanted to do is look up a word.

Looking up words on the internet is often frustrating because so often you find yourself trapped in a tricktionary.

urban ticktionary 

Refers to the tick-tock sound made by a clock as time passes.

The phenomenon that occurs when the posting of numerous, almost-identical definitions for the same word/phrase result in the act of searching for a definition on UD becoming a waste of your time.

A result of egotistical narcissists, who believe that everyone should stop and take the time to read to their unoriginal opinion.

Urban Pricktionary 

What Urban Dictionary became when it starting filling up with teenagers posting lame ass 'definitions' of their own names. For some reason these are still accepted by UD editors.

John: Check out my definition of 'John'. Huh-huh-huh. "'John': Really handsome cool guy with a giant schlong."
