It’s a date! 

A phrase men/women say after asking someone on a date and that person agrees to go out with then.

It’s mainly used after the person who asked tells them what they’re doing.

Jim: Pam! Umm are you free for dinner tonight?

Pam: Yes!

Jim: Alright, then it’s a date!

A casual expression not to be confused with actually asking someone out on a date. At times, when you are to pussy to reject someone, u simply say "it's a date" even tho you dont wanna be a part of it.

it's sometimes accompanied with a ;).. BUT it should be read with a sarcastic undertone if the ;) has been added.

It can be interpreted wrong, be careful with how you use this! To avoid misinterpretation, add the ;)

friend nr 1: "OMG my car broke down last night, can you come over and help me, you handy man! and then we can have some beers"
friend nr 2: *thinking I dont want to do this, putting on the fake happy voice* "yeah sure, it's a date ;)

"Wanna go to the library and do some serious studying?"
"Yeah, it's a date!

Sneak-A-Date 

A situation that was thought by one party as hanging out between friends is actually a date in disguise.

Angela: So you know how I was going to hang out with Dave and his friends last night?

Jess: Yeah?

Angela: It was a total Sneak-A-Date! His friends didn't show up and he ended up taking me out to a movie where he tried putting the moves on me

They were on a "straight date". 

Straigt date is when there are two of the same sex on a date together. And one of which is is gay. The other is usually not out of the closet hence they call it a "straight date".

Two guys, one 32 years old, the other 22 were out at the wine bar together. The older one made it very know to everyone in his vacinity that he was gay, and had "partners". The other one made references all night to a "girlfriend". But in the end they were two guys in a wine bar together and they were on a "straight date".
