The Seuss

Term applied for any US ARMY unit, either active or reserves, whose standards for doing things falls shorter then what is expected of them by the Department of Army and whose chain of command more appropriately mirrors a Dr. Seuss plotline of contradictions and liabilities.
I heard a few boys over in first platoon ended up being attached to the seuss and ended up KIA because of the new LT.

The neurological condition where an individual feels compelled to turn everyday words into a rhyme, which does not change the actual meaning of the original word.
Normal Person: "That is neato"
The Dr. Seuss Syndrome: "That is neato dorito"

Normal Person: "Awesome!"
The Dr. Seuss Syndrome: "Awesome Possum!"

Normal Person: "Whatever"
The Dr. Seuss Syndrome: "Whatever Trevor"

Shit of Theseus

Something that is complete shit that promised to be more and still promises to be more, yet when more shit is added it looks just like the original shit.
Pittsburghs's Western Psych is a real Shit of Theseus with them trying to fix that broken ship, start over and build a real ship!

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
