In the gaming world, RCON stands for remote console and is a way to temporarily change your game server variables while you are in the game. You need to have an Rcon Password to execute any Rcon commands.

In the massivly multiplayer online game that is the epic World of Warcraft, "rcotds" refers to one of the buffs given when the head of Onyxia or Nefarian is turned in. The Buff adds 10% spell critical chance, melee and ranged critical chances by 5%, and 140 attack power for two hours.

It all started back in March of 2008 with the misspelling of "rock". The word just stuck and people all over the world (actually just 2 people from Faribault Co.) are now using it.

It is not a misspelling of rock in the sense that you still say "rock" even though you have now stated "rcok". No, in fact, in order to use this word appropriately, one needs to use the following pronouncation:
