Estadity is a
Puerto Rican word that came about by
deliberately incorrectly translating the Spanish word “estadidad” into its English
counterpart, “statehood.” It’s been used as a joke to mock those who want statehood, especially the corrupt government officials of the island.
It’s been an ongoing conflict since and things haven’t changed.
