Japanese death matches were some of the most brutal fights to ever grace the lame eyes of mankind. The fighters in the matches wore scars like drag queens wore makeup. Absolutely nothing stopped the matches until the fighters passed out, or gave in after being brutalized for a half hour straight on average. Related to a Childish Gambino (donald glover) song or Sweatpants video, 2014. The video was released and he added a cryptic "My architect knows Japanese " to the end of the video. Fans were confused and tried to deduce meanings. The meme spread as a way to close a video or podcast is a quirky way.

Later the phrase was partially explained when another video came out (that had been produced before the first one but unexpectedly held back) where Donald says: my architect really has to learn Japanese.
