Gayus ex Machina

In works of fiction; the use/revelation of a character’s sexuality to advance the plot. Similar to Deus ex Machina, but gayer.
Girl 1: “Omg, Madonna was literally dying till she realised she was actually in love with Shakira, then she got up and started dancing! That’s the power of love for you.”

Girl 2: “No, that’s the power of Gayus ex Machina and bad storytelling.”

De-eMus ex Machina

In Dungeons and Dragons or any other pen and paper RPG, when the Dungeon Master (or DM) invents or gives a way for the players to live when they normally would have died.
Our DM is really easy to play with. Any time we're about to die, a little De-eMus ex Machina comes along and saves us.

deus ex slot machina

A literary device used primarily in film in which the protagonists' seemingly impossible dilemma is solved through an unexpected and improbable gambling windfall, such as winning the jackpot.
Moviegoer 1: Couldn't they have thought of a better way for them to pay him back than just winning $80,000 in blackjack?

Moviegoer 2: Yeah, the writers pulled a total deus ex slot machina...

douche ex machinist

A writer of limited talent who weaves a myriad of complex plot lines into the beginning of his work, only to later abandon most of those plot lines in a lazy ‘deus ex machina’ story ending.
Did you watch the ending of ‘Battlestar Galactica’? There was a really douche ex machinist at work on that final episode!

Deus Ex Machinegun

A scene in films, books, or television in which several antagonists square off in an armed shootout, and in the process of killing one another, conveniently eliminate multiple threats to the protagonist.
Will Smith and Gene Hackman get away in Enemy of the State thanks to a classic deus ex machinegun where the mafia, the CIA, and the local police all kill one another, while it's a deus ex machinegun between rival drug factions that begins the narrative in No Country For Old Men.

deus ex muchina

pronounced "day-us ex much-in-uh"; a phrase that calls attention to when something extremely unlikely blatantly happens to move a story along or resolve a seemingly unsolvable problem. This would be an instance of "deus ex machina", but the concept is cliché to the point that it deserves sarcastic observation.
Will: "Can you believe that Liam Neeson immediately found that one guy in the entire Charles de Gaulle airport that marked his daughter for kidnapping, even though the airport handled over 60 million passengers in 2008?"
Lindsey: "I know, right? Uh, hello, deus ex muchina?"

Exmachina

A seemingly unsolvable problem solved by a bullhshit excuse to fuck with the viewers
Why is it the fact in power rangers, that a new zord is made to be an overused exmachina
