2. Used as a slang term in today's world as meaning buddy/friend.

3. Only used by Hispanics. If used by other ethnical groups, it might be found offensive. Just as the term "nigga" is only supposed to be used by black people, "ese" is only supposed to be used by Hispanics.

It started as a word used by The Surenos, a mexican gang,
since ese is how you pronounce the letter "S" in spanish, that is what they called each other. Nowadays, It is used by a lot of mexicans. It would be used by surenos like the word homie, or friend.
