Lych Gate

A lych gate is a roofed gateway to a churchyard with a stand on which the people carrying the coffin could place it, while they rested before moving into the church for the service. Often a lych gate would have seats as, before the days of motorised hearses, coffins were often carried considerable distances. The lych gate gave those carrying the coffin the opportunity to rest and gather themselves before carrying the departed on the last leg of their journey with care and dignity.

It's no surprise that so many English country churches have a lych gate.

Steins;Gate

Steins;Gate is an amazing sci-fi/drama anime about time travel. It follows the story of 18-year-old Okabe Rintarou, a self-proclaimed mad scientist who refers to himself as Hououin Kyouma. He, "super hacka" Hashida Itaru, and childhood friend Shiina Mayuri comprise the Future Gadgets Lab. Quite by accident, they discover that their Future Gadget #8, the Phone Microwave (Name Subject to Change), can send text messages to the past. They start sending more messages, radically changing past events (the butterfly effect) and eventually leading to distastrous consequences....

You should watch it. It will blow your mind.

Steins Gate

A significant and important event, object, location, or time period . Stein's gate holds such a significance , simply because the word, onto itself means absolutely nothing, but whatever concept it is used to describe is important.

From the visual novel and anime/manga series Steins;Gate , where the term is used as a name for the ideal World Line.

It is a well known fact that he is the cutest person in the cast and is literally a bundle of curly fries.

Gateway Asian

An Asian man who dates outside of his race and often converts women into being attracted to Asians. For example, a Gateway Asian will often hear “you’re the first Asian guy I’ve ever been with.”

This is typically a male because Asian men generally don’t have a lot of attention from non-Asian women.

“Notice how Vince tends to attract chicks who have never dated an Asian before? How’d he breakthrough?”

“Dude, I thought you knew. He’s a freaking Gateway Asian. If they don’t work out, her next boyfriend will probably be Asian too.”

Gatekeeper

When someone is an asshole enough to tell you that you don't have enough qualities to like what you want to like or be what you want to be, solely based on their opinions and experiences, even if they don't know as much about what said person aspires to like / be.

Person 1: I really like (insert band/artist here)
Person 2: Ok name every song, even the unreleased ones, how many words are in each song, and recite them word for word.
Person 1: um..
Person Two: FAKE FAN. You don't like them.
