Beaker 

Someone who lies a lot;

this simple term weaves together two different references from American culture. Firstly, taken from American slang, someone's nose can be referred to as a 'beak', as in a bird's nose. Secondly, taken from the children's classic, Pinocchio, the protagonist's nose grew longer with each lie they told.

If you weren't such a BEAKER, I might be able to trust you.

beaker disease 

Disease pertaining to the importance of the self. Much like the Muppets character 'Beaker' who repeatedly screams "ME ME ME ME ME ME ME", those who suffer from this overbearing selfishness('beaker disease')are similarly self obsessed and generally unaware of their own symptoms. Discovered by the original 'Bear' who first noticed the condition prevalent in several female members of his clan.

Female subjects are often to be found over relying on their elders and various family members despite the fact that there is no possibility the same gestures of kindness will ever be shown in return.

Beaker Moment 

Named after the Muppet character Beaker, a Beaker Moment is a series of actions that a normally level headed individual will exhibit when reaching a heightened level of stress or agitation without being able to constructively control the outburst or by failing to seek assistance in dealing with an increasingly convoluted situation.

The end result can encompass adverse, out-of-character, uncontrolled outburst in the form of incoherent mutterings and sounds, accompanied by aggressive, multi-directional emails that incite and spin up other parties often spurring on inquisitive looks and head scratchings.

Ultimately a very uncharacteristic outburst of outright frustration, paranoia, and severe agitation.

"Joe, I need you to help Ryan control his outbursts. He got overwhelmed in a production meeting and had a Beaker Moment that got everyone's attention."
