n. Rugby expression for a large gap through which one can run with the ball. The term has its roots in heavy drinking, as does rugby itself.

The inexplicable tendancy of the arse to produce huge quantities of hot, runny faeces following a night of heavy drinking which need not involve drinking lager.

Instead of butter fingers, you get lager fingers. After a few too many, you subconsciously let your beer slip out your hands.

People were used to drinking weaker beer, they somethimes became aggresive and even violent. they therefor became know as lager louts
lager louts: if you drink to much you become violent cause you're drunk
