Ordering food at one restaurant but eating it at another
We got vegan sandwiches at Ben and Esther's but they had no indoor seating, so we ended up bunking at the Thai place next door.

Bunking Off

British term for skipping school; participating in truancy; playing hooky.
During 2005/06, DfES defined a persistent truant as a pupil who missed 20 or more days classed as unauthorised absence. Children often refer to it as "doing a bunk", "bunking off" or "skiving".

Bunking up

'Bunking up' involves multiple (at least 2) people sleeping in the same bed and usually involves spooning in some arrangement (preferably the quad-spoon formation). It generally occurs between the hours of 1 am and 3 am after large quantities of alcohol and a long night of pesting

Sometimes the bunk up follows the age old rule of spooning leads to forking - however - it can be completely platonic.

The ideal number for a 'bunk up' is between 2 and 4 - however there have reports of a 5+ people in a spooning arrangements.

Common issues with 'bunking up' include over heating, a uncomfortable sleep and people getting handsey.

bunking train

You miss one class or lecture because you don't feel like it or it's at an inconvenient time for you. Then you start skipping all the classes related to that subject and eventually you're bunking important lessons.

It's the so called bunking train because you hop on the train at the station and it starts to pick up speed. No one ever tells you that it's headed to Failure City.
"Haha, sounds like you're on the bunking train."

"I know, I skipped stats and now I don't want to go to maths. I'm fucked, oh well."
