Paulitical pandering

verb: 1) When a political figure disingenuously uses the platforms of Congressman Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul, incongruous with their track record, to curry favor with anti-establishment voters. 2) LOSING.
During his most recent speech Mitt Romney attempted paulitical pandering when he espoused the ideas of freedom and liberty and mentioned the founding fathers - rhetoric characteristically unique to Ron Paul. Unfortunately, Ron Paul supporters are not persuaded by paulitical pandering since most actually have adopted a hardcore sentiment of support for Dr. Paul otherwise known as No One but Paul.

Backhand pandering

1. An attempt to appease to a group of people for financial gain while still simultaneously portraying that group of people in a negative, or unfavourable light. Usually playing on racist stereotypical tropes, or keeping up with racist/bigotted media trends aimed at creating or sustaining a negative or unfavourable image of the targeted group of people.

2. Attacking a group of people's image under the guise of progressiveness.
Example of backhand pandering is placing black women in lead roles for movies to pander to them for money, yet this lead black female character adheres to negative racist stereotypes that portray black women in an unfavourable light.

Fetish-gimmick pandering

Faking or over-emphasising a trait about yourself (typically online) in a sexually suggestive context to pander to a demographic of people who fetishize that trait, leading to the demographic being further convinced of the trait having inherent sexual qualities
I hate how a handful of creators started doing fetish-gimmick pandering about being goth and now people assume dressing alternative is "goonerbait"

Palmering

Palmering (as in Jesse Palmer of ABC/ESPN and the Bachelor) - (verb) 1. The act of repeatedly disrespecting a team, coaching staff, and entire fan-base with blatantly biased statements over an event which happened "just two years ago"; 2. Simultaneously, inexcusably losing respect from peers, colleagues, and strangers alike. 3. Acting like a total douche-bag. 4. Over use of the word Clemsoning

Jesse Palmer is an ABC/ESPN sports analyst and former contestant on the Bachelor. He constantly brings up the term Clemsoning even though Clemson's football team hasn't "pulled a Clemson" in years.
"Quit your Palmering, Clemson has beaten four top 25 SEC teams in the last two years; I don't see them Clemsoning ever again. This is a different Clemson football team."

The Pendering

Term that the readers of the Archie's Sonic The Hedgehog comic use to refer to the lawsuit between Archie Comics and the former writer Ken Penders, who copyrighted all his original characters from the comic. The lawsuit resulted in the removal of a large chunk of characters and back story from the comic, which leaded to a reboot. More specifically, the removal all the original characters and stories not created by the current head writer Ian Flynn.
Q: "What happened to Knuckles' family and all the other echidnas?"
A: "The Pendering happened."
