conveniently black

A light skinned or mixed African-American who tries to pass for a colored race or ethnicity other than black. He spends most of his time with white people because he thinks it will allow him to advance professionally. The only time that he will spend around African-Americans is when he is trying to prove to white people he can be down and fly.
