A friend who is a boy but deliberately not a boyfriend because you want no emotional attachments or jealousy issues if you feel like kissing other people.

When you (typically as a heterosexual male) want to refer to your other male friend(s) but u not gai so you do not want to say boyfriend(s). An extremely useful word for when you are talking to the opposite sex and do not want to come across as gai.

Girl: Hey Gabe, do you want to get dinner tonight?
Gabe: No, I'm already hanging with my friendboys tonight, sorry.
Girl: Your what?
