Aftermath of an internet trend stemmed from a Facebook post titled: "Storm Area 51, they can't stop us all", with a total of around 2.5 million people contributing.
On
September 20th 2019, one of the largest civilian massacres in history took place. A total of 150,000 people turned up in Nevada to follow up on the trend and Storm the Military Base - the common interests were to "Clap those alien cheeks", "see them aliens" and acquire supposed futuristic technologies.
After 110,000 of the attendees stormed the base and fell, those remaining managed to enter the base. They had a short 10 minute window before reinforcements arrived, and they planned to use this time to find that which the trend was started for.
Unfortunately, the 40,000 realised they were unsuccessful, and so, as if pigs in a slaughterhouse, 500,000 soldiers rolled in to take the lives of the remaining civilians.
